You’re told Millennials love flexibility, so offering the chance to work from home or flexi-time is key. Or that healthy staff mean happy staff, so wellness and health initiatives are all-important. These things aren’t inherently wrong, but they are small tactics which ignore the need for a bigger talent strategy. If you get the foundations of talent management wrong, then no amount of pears, Pilates or perks will ensure people stick around.
