Report Times Higher Education - The Importance of International Academics to University Strategies

The Importance of Recruiting International Academics for University Strategies

What Do Academics Look For When Moving Jobs?

Talent is the single most important factor in the success of any great institution – you can have as much money as you want, the best facilities in the world, and the most highly esteemed history and reputation, but without smart, dynamic people, you have nothing. International faculty mobility is a key component of many universities’ broader internationalisation strategies, in tandem with international student mobility, curricular innovations, and international partnerships. Indeed, in Times Higher Education’s Leaders survey in 2022, 84% of university leaders surveyed indicated that they expect to hire more international academics over the next decade.
