Shareholder Activism

Today’s boards find themselves very familiar with shareholder activism. But activist attention on – and action against – individual directors has been less familiar territory. The last few years, however, have marked the beginning of what seems to be an overarching trend where institutional investors are voting against directors more frequently – and for more reasons – than they have done in the past.
