Most professionals are only concerned about what they can get from business  apps like Zoho Analytics and Webex Meetings. They rarely think about what these business apps are taking from them in return.

We're talking about the murky business of data gathering. And as this recent study from OnDeck shows, some business apps are much more data hungry than others.

Unsurprisingly, Google’s business apps are the biggest culprits. Content and file management tool Google Drive collects 19 different pieces of unique user data, including your browsing and search history.

Notorious data harvester Facebook is even worse. If you use its messenger app to touch base with colleagues, you're giving Facebook access to over 30 pieces of unique data, including information on your health and fitness levels. Spooky.

But which other types of business apps gobble up the most and least amount of data? Check out the chart from OnDeck below for the answers. It ranks all the biggest data-gathering business apps by category, including marketing, IT Management, and Business Intelligence.

It's essential reading for anyone who wants to regain control of their online footprint and digital privacy.
