The 2026 Annual ProcureCon CPO Report

Procurement leaders are investing heavily in technology, but AI readiness remains uneven. The 2026 ProcureCon CPO Study finds that 43% of organizations plan to prioritize integrated, cloud-based procurement platforms, while 39% view automated sourcing and supplier risk management as critical investments in the year ahead. However, only 11% say they are fully ready to leverage AI. Most organizations are still in pilot mode. Data quality, integration gaps, and governance concerns continue to slow progress. This study examines how CPOs are navigating the gap between AI ambition and execution, and what they must address to move from experimentation to measurable impact.
