Online retail sales climbed 32.4% year over year in 2020 and increased 39% in Q1 2021, according to reports. As e-commerce sales rise, so does the demand for logistics and delivery services, which in turn raises the demand for packing materials. Some of these businesses aren't being as environmentally conscious as they could be when it comes to the packaging they use for deliveries. According to Statista, the packaging of goods accounts for nearly half of all greenhouse gas emissions generated by the ecommerce industry, accounting for about 45% of estimated emissions.

2Flow have created an infographic that is a must-read for all business who deliver packages and logistic companies. The infographic shows the environmental impact of packaging; the main goals, opportunities and benefits that come with taking a green approach and the 10 ways to make your delivery packages green.
