Beyond the EAA

Introduced in June 2025, the EAA is an EU directive mandating that company products and services be accessible to people with disabilities, with potential fines and sanctions for non-compliant organisations. The act harmonises accessibility standards across Europe, ensuring consistency, fair trade, and innovation in accessible technology across business apps and websites. It covers services including eCommerce, media streaming, banking, and digital environments for shops and restaurants.
