It’s a common story. Technology promises to make our lives easier, but sometimes it adds complexity.

An industry traditionally reliant on professional experience and people skills practicing “the art of recruiting” is now inundated with new technological tools promising to bring efficiencies and scale to hiring. The problem is that if we’re too dependent on technology, we run into problems. Technology can add complexity to processes, straining relationships with hiring managers and candidates. An overly technological approach can create an impersonal candidate experience. But, we don’t want to ignore the benefits of technology and stay rooted in our old way of doing things, over-relying on our people and the “art” of recruiting.
